The happiest time of my life was playing Magicland Dizzy with various siblings on the Spectrum, at the age of ~8. I don’t think we ever completed it, what having 1 tv in the house, and that needing to be turned off when something exciting was on television.
The only time open to completion of complex, non-sensical, electrifying games (“use Dozy’s fish-wand to summon the drawbridge, so the troll can run across and kick the goat”) was summer holidays:
Dizzy is responsible for Spectrum gamers being sport- and sun-averse.
The Dizzy collection pack included 4 different Dizzy games, here they are in empirical order of greatness:
1. Magicland Dizzy
2. Fantasy Land Dizzy
3. Treasure Island Dizzy
4. Spellbound Dizzy
I will write my top 5 Spectrum games ever if i haven’t already.
