Some Thoughts About Snowflake by Kate Bush (and 50 Words For Snow as a whole
Her son Bertie has the same lisp as Kate! I can’t remember what this lisp is called, it’s r’s into w’s ‘cweepy cwallies’. I thought it was once called a Devon Lisp but can’t find anything (help pls).
Kate Bush previously noted she was not able to hit the same notes as she once could (after the release of Director’s Cut, in rare, wonderful videoed interview)
Bertie as extension of the band Kate Bush.
inter-changing between the two singers.
He also has a wonderful voice!
He regains the range that Bush lost, lets her explore musical themes she wasn’t able to do on Director’s Cut.
As a result, i make the WAHCKY prediction that she will be relatively prolific in the next two years! Before Bertie’s voice breaks. Expect two more albums next year, rushed and incredible and featuring more of Bertie
Fits into the relatively rushed feel of the album 50 Words for Snow, as A Petridis mentioned in 5 star Guardian Review.
