I have a new phone
New Google Nexus is great. Some rather interesting user interface notes: Priority Inbox is defacto: it is quite hard to get to normal inbox. It feels like Google are playing Apple: this is the way you will interact with your phone, don’t try and do stuff differently. Which is shiny and pretty but a bit annoying if you don’t trust Priority Inbox.
Smileys have their own button on normal keyboard. Pleased to not see the change language button that was so easy to push on Android 2.1.
In other news the copy and paste functionality is a million times better than apple’s, completely intuitive well done everyone. Apple’s magnifying glass is over engineered and buggy; ICS is excellent.
Google Video is a really strange product: rent a movie for £3.50, you have to watch it all in 48 hours it’s like Blockbuster! Incredible lack of reviews on there, also seems like a bit of review gaming going on: 4stars for Green Lantern? :-/
And final thought: screenshots as good as Apple, and they go into a separate folder lovely.
No idea how to turn off the flash though so all pictures of the cat give her white eyes ruining cuteness
