Klout + Badgeville = Badgelot.
When I first started highlighting the idiocy of Klout, I didn’t think that they would partner with a company called Badgeville. I thought Badgeville was a Zynga game where you collected badges, and the sparkly badges cost more money. What i like to call a ‘badgemium’ model.
“But why did Klout, a tool
….need the help of gamification?”
Great question Engaming. Possibly because it’s a tool. With no use. The opposite of a spork. The last thing a gamified rating piece of malware needed was a gamification layer (sic).
I know those words, but that sentence makes no sense
“Klout already possessed the groundwork to allow for gamification. Klout’s game mechanics included Scores, Points, Leaderboards and Mastery”
—
“With help from Badgeville, Klout will be able to tap even deeper into game theory and psychographics to increase its’ (sic) user engagement and popularity”.
